Day 1

Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Wilson airport for a scheduled flight to Samburu Game Reserve which departs at about 10:20 a.m.

11:50 a.m.: Arrival at the airstrip, met by our Elephant Watch Samburu Guides and transferred to the camp for 4 nights on full board accommodation, elephant watching and game viewing, guided walks, guided Walks, and sundowners. Also included are a selection of house wines, spirits, sodas, fresh juicesand bottled water. Everything about Elephant Watch Camp is a feast for the senses, with bright swathes of cotton fanning in the breeze, huge cushioned sofas, woven local mats and special beds and furniture made from fallen trees. Menus are a fusion of bush gourmet, fresh from our farm, with tropical fruit and drinks and a selection of good wine. Books, films and information on elephants are provided for guests. At night, flame torches and lanterns light up the camp along the river. Baboons call out as leopards stalk, while lions and elephants are always nearby. It is the only camp of its kind in Samburu

DAY 2, 3 & 4

Full days of activities in Samburu. Our Elephant Watch Samburu guides will drive you gently through the Reserve spending time with many of our well known elephant families as well as introducing them to some of the particular Northern inhabitants - the slim necked Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy Zebras and over 400 species of birds.

Optional: for the more energetic adventurous persons, a trip up the Ololokwe mountains can be organised, you drive to the bottom on the mountain, ascend and spend the night at the top of the hill and descend next morning, driving back to the camp with elephant watching en-route.)

DAY 5

After breakfast you will depart for a morning game viewing drive on your way to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson airport you will connect to the afternoon flight to Naivasha.

15:15 hrs: Arrival time at the Loldia airstrip in Naivasha. You will be met by our representative from Olerai House and transferred to the house for 2 nights on full board accommodation. Activities available include swimming, walks and hikes within the sanctuary. Overnight at Olerai House (www.olerai.com).

DAY 6

Full day at Olerai House. Feel free to chill out, take a dip at the Sirocco House swimming pool or take a walk or a hike.

Optional: Boat trips to Crescent Island are available at an extra cost and can be organised with the manager at the house. We provide a picnic lunch for those going for a full day trip to Crescent Island.

DAY 7

Morning at leisure at the farm house. After lunch you will be transferred to the Loldia airstrip for your scheduled flight departing at 15:20 hrs for the Masai Mara.

16:00 hrs: Arrival time at the Masai Mara. Here you will be met by a representative from Serian Camp and transferred to the camp with game viewing enroute. The camp is the charismatic bush home of Alex Walker, filmmaker and guide in the Masai Mara. It is the northernmost extension of the Serengeti and a gem in itself. The migration of wildebeest occurs from June through October and sometimes November, quickly followed by the birthing season from October to March. April and May offer the best opportunities for keen ornithologists and those wishing to enjoy the solitude and verdant green of the quiet season.

You will stay for 3 nights at the beautiful Serian camp on full board basis, including game drives in their four wheel drive vehicles, guided walks, fly camping, sundowners, bush dinners, river fishing and bush baths are also available. DAY 8 & 9

Full days of activities in the Masai Mara. The experience at Serian is focused on viewing wildlife, in particular, the big five: Cape buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Elephant and Rhino. The Migration of one and a half million Wildebeest, Zebra and Topic passes through the Masai Mara. This is the northernmost extension of the Serengeti ecosystem and is a microhabitat in its own right. Here annually you will witness the spectacle of the migration of a million and a half Wildebeest and Zebra.

DAY 10

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi which departs at about 11 a.m. and arrives at Wilson airport in Nairobi at 12:15 p.m.

Booking Conditions

We require a minimum of 2 persons to confirm the safari.

A 20% non refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking and the balance is payable latest 30 days prior to arrival.

Coast Extensions

Kiwayu Safari Village: 6 nights at Kiwayu Safari Village including return airfare from Nairobi – US $3210 per person sharing. www.kiwayu.com

Peponi Hotel in Lamu: 6 nights at Peponi Hotel in Lamu including return airfare and boat transfers – US $3650 per person sharing. www.peponi-lamu.com

There are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi to Kiwayu and Lamu and they easily connect to the morning flight from Masai Mara. The flight from either Lamu or Kiwayu arrives Nairobi in the evening.

Depending on your international flight schedule you might have to spend the first night in Nairobi for those arriving at night and last night in Nairobi for those departing early morning.
